Guest cards - your benefits on site

Most tourist destinations in Switzerland impose a legally mandated visitor's tax (formerly the tourist tax) and a sports tax. This tax is payable by all guests staying in hotels or vacation apartments. It is used to finance local tourism infrastructure and events.

In these locations, advance registration of all guests is also required by law. Personalized guest cards are created based on this information. Guests aged 12 and over pay between CHF 5 and CHF 6 per person per night for the guest card (including visitor's tax), depending on the location. Children aged 6 to 11 also receive a personalized guest card – free of charge, but with the same benefits.

The guest card offers numerous benefits, including free use of public transport in the region – even for dogs traveling with you.
